On behalf of Groundwork MSST, I Mike Omerod, Executive Director, pledge that we will contribute to the campaign and make 10% improvements in the following areas:

  1. All our employees will continue to be paid at least the LW Foundation Living Wage
  2. We will continue to support local businesses to be more sustainable, minimise waste, cut down their energy consumption and reduce their carbon footprints
  3. We will encourage use of parks and green spaces by using our national learning to help introduce innovative management and maintenance regimes and by supporting local “Friends of” groups
  4. We will seek funding to extend our “Green Doctor” domestic energy advice programme to help reduce fuel poverty
  5. We will continue to focus our employment skills training on supporting ex-offenders and Veterans into work

Our pledge will contribute to improving the following outcomes for the City of Salford:

  • More use of parks and green spaces
  • More local people from vulnerable groups accessing new jobs, apprenticeships, training and work experience placements
  • Less waste – fuel, rubbish, energy, water, etc
  • More companies paying the LW Foundation Living Wage
  • Less fuel poverty
