On behalf of Barton Group Services, I Vicky Cabo, SHEQ Director, pledge that we will contribute to the campaign and make 10% improvements in the following areas:

  1. We will ensure all of our employees will take part in volunteering activities with local charities
  2. We will ensure that at 98% of waste generated on our sites is diverted from landfill
  3. We will encourage the use of public transport and facilitate car share schemes
  4. We will work with our supply chain to ensure that at least 2 apprentice opportunities are created on our projects
  5. We will ensure that any vacancies with ourselves and our contractors are advertised locally
  6. We will ensure that at 80% of our supply chain are from the northwest
  7. We will become an accredited living wage employer

Our pledge will contribute to improving the following outcomes for the City of Salford:

  • More volunteering
  • More recycling
  • More local people from vulnerable groups accessing new jobs, apprenticeships, training and work experience placements
  • More purchasing from Salford based companies
  • Less waste – fuel, rubbish, energy, water, etc
  • More green travel – buses, trams, trains, bikes, lift shares, electric vehicles, walking etc
  • More companies paying the LW Foundation Living Wage
